Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

2 cups red wine
\n1\/2 cup water
\n1 (1 1\/4 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
\n1 tablespoon brown sugar
\n1 teaspoon dried rosemary or 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
\n4 lbs trimmed beef roast
\n1 -2 teaspoon cornstarch<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Place roast in crock pot and season with pepper.
\nMix rest of ingredients together and pour over roast.
\nCover and cook on low 6-7 hours.
\nRemove roast to rest on platter.
\nTurn crock pot to high.
\nWhisk cornstarch into juices to thicken. This makes a wonderfully tasty au jus, or over mashed potatoes.<\/p>\n
